What's on the test?

  • Whole game (from start to nachtholm)
  • Different locales
  • Different options
  • Report any issues you found
  • Please read known issues before start testing

Issues reports

  • Graphics issues and crash reports should be sent via e-mail to [email protected]
  • For graphics issues please report screenshots (F12 to make screenshot, files are found in "User Documents\Saved Games\omnicide\data\screenshots") and computer configuration (Processor type, RAM amount, Video card model and mark)
  • For game crash reports please send "User Documents\Saved Games\omnicide\data" contents (zipped) to [email protected]
  • Other reports should populate known-issues-list

Known issues List

General

  • [vortex] Map editor is not included in Beta 1

Game

  • [vortex] Camera rotation (F9 and F10) is bugged - sprites orientation, blood origins get wrong
  • [vortex] Sleeping people has bugs with blood origin (wrong offset)
  • [vortex] Cloudiness and weather style changing instantly sometimes
  • [vortex] Bat Marks and Bat form not working
  • [vortex] Monster's ghost forms (after being killed) is not working

Demo Version Issues

  • [vortex] No prologue (game starts at mausoleum) - blood omen sneak preview (demo is based on it) don't have prologue

Installer

  • [vortex] When installing right in the demo folder (where blood omnicide demo is located) files get corrupted and installation fails

Fixed in Beta 2

Game

  • [vortex] Prevent "For the embrace of the sun i found no confort" and such phrazes appear in the battle
  • [vortex] AI starts faster than screen fading goes away, which makes battle hard in ziegsturhl inn
  • [vortex] Flayed skeleton animation is bugged
  • [vortex] When Kain dies and Hear Of Darknessused to revive him, active item counter is unchanged
  • [GiorgioDiNucci] Camera smoothing do not work for stair movement (camera trembling)
  • [vortex] Fixed map start parms (developer feature, starting inventory when loading custom map with 'map' command)
  • [vortex] Rain and thunder sounds stopped correctly while moving from environments with global weather to environments with local weather (like w1m4 cave)
  • [vortex] Fixed peasant with scythe death animation timing.
  • [vortex] Gog purple missile doesn't hurt friends anymore (fighting with many gog demons at once now is dangerous)
  • [vortex] Gog missile can 'merge' with other missiles while getting too close, it gains some more life time and becomes faster

Demo Version Issues

  • [vortex] Missing speech for item names or descriptions
  • [Darth] On first Heart of Darkness pickup, there's no Kain's monologue, but subtitles are shown
  • [Darth] In the inventory, Kain don't speak item names and subtitles are not shown, but subtitles get shown after inventory if closed

- Added "no rain damage" zones (near cave entrances, crypt entrances)

Video Playback

  • [GiorgioDiNucci] Blood Omen Bink Patch 2.0 videos are not converted correctly (sozx keeps FLAC format), so Blood Omnicide has no sound in cinematics
